Do you mean base filament color? I usually start with a pretty neutral filament to build the colors up on top of, like a matte tan. If you are going to paint a primer first, than it doesn't matter as much. I would still use a neutral primer like a gray or tan.

Hi! There could be several causes, so it’s a little tough to say. It could be that the bed leveling is not quite right or there is a low or high spot in the bed, so re-leveling or rotating the model on the bed might help. You could also try adding a brim. I like to set the brim gap to 0.3mm so that it helps with adhesion, but still comes off pretty easily. You might also try slowing down the print speed a little bit, at least for the initial layer.

Hi! There are many many variables that can contribute to the issues you are describing. Nozzle and bed temps are very dependent on what machine you have and what materials you are printing, so my values may not work for your printer. I print with dozens of brands of PLA filament. Curling is usually a side effect of too much heat and/or not enough cooling. Depending on your machine setup, you could try lowering the bed temperature to reduce the amount of radiant heat in the plastic (I set my bed temps to the lowest I can while still allowing the filament to stick). Possibly lower nozzle temps a bit too. Set the part cooling fan to 100%. If your printer is in an enclosure, try leaving the door open to reduce the ambient temperatures. You can also try adding a brim, which both acts as a larger footprint to hold the print down and as a slight thermal barrier against radiant bed heat. I hope that helps!

I just paint them with fine tip paint brushes and nice model paints. In this case... red for the eyeball, black inside the pupil cavity, yellow for the iris, and white for the little highlight dot. Those sections are all part of the sculpt, so I use that as my guide. I just go slow and carefully. Maybe finish it up with a little gloss varnish if you want them shiny.

Hi! It’s hard to say for sure. I don’t know much about resin printing. I have been told that my designs are not ideal because they use ball ts with a high chance of forming uncured resin traps. They also have snap in parts that may not function as well in resin vs PLA. I can’t guarantee success with resin, so I generally do not recommend it.

I tried using my Anycubic photon mono X with this design and it printed just fine.

For those seeing this. The problem was only present with one specific filament. Changing filaments seemed to fix the issue.

Hi! Thanks for the . There are several reasons why it's necessary to print the heads vertically. Unfortunately, creating a horizontal version would be a fairly involved process, with redesigns of the t setup and the overall design to reconfigure overhangs. For the most part with color gradient filaments, I find the vertical head actually creates a nicer result, but if you are doing sharp filament swaps I can see how that isn't ideal. I will put some thought into this, but unfortunately I don't think it would be anything I could offer in the short term.

I’m guessing you are trying to attach the head to the back half of the body. Make sure you print both ”Body_Front” and Body_Rear”. You need both. The head snaps into “Body_Front”. Check the gallery picture that shows the parts on the print bed to see what I mean.

Hi! I created a 150mm x 150mm profile in Cura, and was able to just fit it at 90% scale, which should work just fine!

I used esun rainbow silk for the front section , back section and the head , ill put the picture up when im done ahahhaha but it now has glow in the dark links between each other link so another 13 of them its 137cm or 53.93 inches. Now for another 13 more links in a tri color which adds another 496mm length he'll be life size then most pythons ive seen here in Australia are about 2m long so thats what im aiming for .

i just realised i cant because i ed it from patreon and not here but im up to 173cm now ahahahaha its actually starting to look really good since Ive started on adding the tri color links between the glow in the dark links, im up to my 4th on print now of the tri color links 9 more to go. Im just doing them singly between prints that are to be sold as this is just a display piece but i got a Link down to 22 minutes . ill get my partner to post it on instagram and tag you, at least that way you can have a look if i had a bigger printer i would of printed it at 150% scale but i think i can seperate the tail section in 2 and just push it back together once its done . So far there's 29 extra links not including the tail and head sections all on 110% scale. Its absolutely massive

I Tried a new sd card after reing it and it's still skipping that one section of the tail piece

The problem has been resolved, it was not a problem with the file it appears to have been my Kobra Max failing to read the gcode properly
